Nomad cloth

Head gear does not only protect people from sunstroke. Cloths in front of the face also prevent the sand from getting into their mouth and nose. The children print motives designed by different desert people onto cotton cloths. It is necessary to register!
Duration: one hour
Costs: 25 Euro flat rate for up to 15 children + 2,50 Euro material costs (plus fees for entrance and guided tour)

Leather bags

Bags and pouches serve many desert people as personal carry-bags and as a means to transport small utensils, because their clothes don’t have any pockets. The children manufacture a desert bag out of leather. It is necessary to register!

Please take note of our workshops for school classes and kindergartens as well. All school workshops can be booked by private kid groups and families. The lump sum price for these workshops is 25 Euro for up to 15 participants (plus fees for entrance and guided tour)

Family Day

Every first Saturday of the month is Family Day. It starts at 10:30 with a guided tour for families. Afterwards we offer interchanging workshops. Material sets are available at the cashier.
Duration: 2,5 hours
Workshop: 1,50 Euro per participant (plus the fees for entrance and guided tour)
Material: 2,50 Euro per set

Correct Planing

Please take into consideration about 15 minutes delay at the cashier and the wardrobe. Due to insurance reasons there are no coats, thick jackets, big bags, backpacks or umbrellas allowed inside the exhibition. Please don’t take any food or drinks into the exhibition. At the entrance area you will find the café Bistro Lok. Our colleagues at the information desk will readily help you find a place for your picnic break. A changing room for babies can be found in the foyer.
